The client

LegalEdge LLP is a 60-person commercial law firm handling M&A, employment, and SaaS contract work. The firm was growing in client volume but couldn't scale headcount fast enough to match.

The situation

Junior associates were bottlenecked on first-pass contract review. Senior partners were pulled into reviews that shouldn't have needed their attention. Turnaround times on standard NDAs and MSAs were running 5–7 days.

What we did

We trained a document-aware agent on 3,000 of the firm's historical contracts. It now handles first-pass review, flags non-standard clauses, generates redline summaries, and routes exceptions to the right partner. Associates review agent output instead of raw documents.

The results

Review time on standard contracts dropped from 4.5 hours to under 70 minutes. The firm recaptured ₹3.1 crore in billable associate hours in the first six months post-rollout.
